Between Coffee

Coffee, Japanese cuisine, and ESKYIU's inspired design

OUR TAKE

Find yourself roaming around Central with a few hours to spare? Tai Kwun (or “big station”) is a UNESCO-awarded site including 3 declared monuments — the old Central Police Station, Central Magistracy and Victoria Prison. Unlike many coffee spots in Hong Kong, Between is actually spacious to hang around. They serve a Japanese-inspired menu of foods and beverages, and specialty coffee from in-house roasted blends.

Drink of choice: Colombia Las Marias Estate Orange Wush Wush, carbonic maceration natural processed. a smooth one with evident dried mango and pineapple notes and hint of berries.

What on earth is carbonic maceration? Carbonic maceration is a method of processing coffee where the coffee cherries are fermented in a sealed, oxygen-free container before they are dried this enhances the sweetness and fruitiness of the coffee, often resulting in a more complex and unique flavor profile.
