To fellow home baristas — are your coffee corners feeling a bit bare? We've brewed up a list of our top 4 shops to snag coffee equipment across Hong Kong. Here are the hidden gems known mostly to locals that we've had the pleasure of discovering in our own coffee journey.

Coffee Store 咖啡事多 (Jordan)

Sitting right by specialty coffee veteran Colour Brown Coffee, Coffee Store is a subset of Color Brown and showcases an array of coffee equipment and beans from their in-house roastery. Collection is comprehensive in a compact space.

GC Note: Highly accessible location, good place to stop by after a sip at nearby cafés (think Zombie Specialty Coffee, Studio Caffeine, and of course, Colour Brown itself).

Barista Jam (Sheung Wan)

In the heart of Sheung Wan district, Barista Jam is a two-story establishment that has been serving the local coffee community for years. On the ground floor, grab a specialty brew and a pastry at the coffee bar. But head upstairs and you'll discover an impressive selection of coffee gear, from manual brewers to electric drip machines to grinders and tampers from reputable brands.

GC Note: Very comprehensive selection for coffee tools on Hong Kong Island.

Entrebox (Diamond Hill)

In Diamond Hill, among the industrial buildings, you'll find Entrebox. It may not look like much from the outside, but it's a coffee enthusiast's playground inside. We discovered Entrebox while hunting for an electric kettle online and decided to pop by their physical store. The best part? They let you test some of the equipment in-store before buying. So we got hands-on before bringing the Fellow EKG home.

Entrebox might be slightly off the beaten path and harder to locate, but their expansive array of coffee gear more than make up for it.

Check them out here.

GC Note: Not many stores in Hong Kong allow you to actually try out the equipment before buying, so Entrebox gets extra points from us here.

ELF Coffee (Jordan)

If Diamond Hill feels like a trek, you can’t miss ELF Coffee in Jordan. Tucked away down a narrow backstreet, it packs a mighty collection of coffee equipment. ELF Coffee may have limited shelf space, but every product has been carefully curated. The owner's passion and knowledge of coffee is contagious. Stop by, share your coffee goals, and they'll help equip you with the best tools.

Find out more about them here.

GC Note: Compact shop but wide range of tools.

SOFE Coffee ( Kai Tak)

Highlighted in our Airside Coffee Series, this SOFE branch can be found within the Citysuper basement. We've noticed that extensive offering including kettles, drippers, grinders, and a variety of other coffee accessories.

Find out more about them here.
